Interview by Joseph Makuc with Pam Henshall and Mike Sutton, two long-standing gardeners at Glen Foerd Community Garden, on-site. The interview discusses Henshall and Sutton's backgrounds in gardening. The interview also discusses Sutton's role in developing the garden beginning in 2014, including his work alongside former Glen Foerd director Meg Sharp Walton to receive approval from the Fairmount Park Conservancy. The interview also briefly discusses the historic use of the garden site by Florence Foerderer, as evidenced by existing grapevines planted by Foerderer in the early 1900s. The interview also includes an overview of Henshall's gardening since 2018 and her former tenure on the Glen Foerd Community Garden board. Discussion further includes gardening experimentation, thoughts about how gardens can build community, and Henshall and Sutton's future plans for their work in the garden.
